I've tried meal plans earlier in my life and I found them to be fun, easy and very helpful for eating varied, actually make meals and, use up produce in the fridge and also for saving money.

Right now I think it will help me to eat and eat nutritously as well. The funny thing about structure is that I find myself craving it and at the same time resisting it. Maybe I need to think about why that may be - but then again, maybe I don't? I certainly don't need more to rumble my brain. So for now I'm just focusing on the next weeks meal plan (well, really this week until sunday I think).

I have some fresh kale in a vase, some steemed kale in the fridge, a few eggs, and some pastured, organic beef straight from the farm and a tiny bit of smoked trout.

Tue: Scrambled eggs (steamed kale, trout and scallions) on toasted rye bread (assuming that bf's chili is HOT)
Wed: Cottage pie
Thur: Baked whole chicken with veg and salad
Fri: Soup with bacon bits (don't know which one yet)
Sat: Flank steak with veg and potatoes
Sun: Chicken pot pie

My bf doesn't like eggs when they are visible in foods so spanish tortilla and other egg based things are out when he's in ;) Which he is most of the days so I'll eat them for breakfast or lunch. Also I'll try to remember to soak my breakfast porridge over night and maybe add a greated apple. Leftover porridge is delicous stirred with an egg or two and then fried in butter. Yum!

ugh

I'm procastinating!

You know how it goes. Early up, trying to make coffee, take shower, eat breakfast and make lunch pack all at the same time. And on top of that you got up too late! I hate getting up to school before the day breaks! But on days of on the other hand - it's very nice to feel the crisp air and just watch the changing of th early morning lights. As a result I'm doing none of it...

I'm also procastinating on a bigger level. I need to do some research as to what and how I'm going to write about in my master thesis. It's very slowly coming along but all that future school work thinking takes over the immidiate homework. Which of course has to be done and over with before the master thesis is more prominent!

Ak jaix. school work do take it's toll - especially if not doing it! Well, tomorrow is another day and I can start over with good intentions and not having the oh so familiar guilt trip.

As of the rest of today. I'm going to do some exercise, make some home work (a delivery), confirm dinner party date to the ladies and do some cleaning. But make sure to take care of my mental self.

Rain on the window
The skies, making the day dark
Inside it is warm

And now for something completely different

A sock!

I've joined a a ravelry group that's called "sock knitters anonymous". It's wonderful: a whole group of ladies who loves to knit socks as much (or in some cases more) as I do.

The challenge for september is either knitting the mystery sock in a yellow yarn. Or any Wendy Johnson pattern in any colour. The mystery sock is this month designed by Nancy Bush who is by far my sock designer hero!

Nancy is being very sweet and cute with this pattern as she is giving us followers new techniques with every clue! How cool is that?

This is the back and second clue is completed. See that ribbing that's running down the leg? I really think I'm gonna like this enormously. I imagine it might feel like the sock is hugging my calves :)

The front on the right has a pretty lacey pattern that Nancy calles fox faces. I can't see the foxes, yet! Although it seems a bit more noticably on the screen. Can you see the little buggers?

All the clues are up now, so there might be more updates in the near future!

beginnings

The 1. day of a new year has always been very special for me. Since this is the start of a fresh still untouched year I tend to get introvert and very thoughtful - not bad thoughtful just thinking of what my hopes and anticipations are for the next year. For me the 1. seems better to do this on than the last day of the year just because on the last day you still have the expectations of going to a big party, be ott-happy, have the best fireworks and after all it's still the holiday vacation. And let's face it: even though all these seasonal traditions and gatherings are nice they come with so much expectation and weird traditions and unfulfilled hopes of how things "should" be.... It can get a bit crammed in one meagre vacation. but the new year has none of those strings attached in my book (except that it's still the christmas holiday..) - it's just fresh and crisp like frost bitten air.

These are NOT new year resolutions because I think of those as quite negative and that they are meant for you to shift lifestyle or habits in one go. No can do!
Instead I make mental notes on what i would like to use all this new time to and work towards doing.

- This last year I have worked towards doing more of what I want and to not be such a people pleaser. It's going ok but I would like to develop it further. Like not feeling quilty when I put my foot gently down . (I don't want to do the opposite either just a golden in-between)

- I would like to blog more often and regularly. A big problem for me here is that I havn't automatised using flickr yet. But practise makes perfect - just better would be nice also ;)

- Be more healthy! Since I have big trouble remember to eat it is my goal to get a regular rythm to my day, eating about every 3 hours to avoid getting low bloodsugar, exercise more in fresh air or the swimming pool. And eat less sugar and more fibre full, whole foods. And get enough water (I actually do allright on these ones if just I could remember to eat and drink regularly). Do yoga and meditation (my mind races along and worns me out even though my body is not moving)

- be better at nuture friendships

- exercise brain more

Chistmas was pretty good for me this year. I've gotton loads of amazing gifts and almost none need to be exchanged. You will se pictures later cause it's dark out and no good for taking pictures.

Spending the christmas days with my family was very nice (stressing offcourse but way less than expected) I loved seeing everybody again. My uncle spend chrsitmas eve with us this year (the most important day of christmas in Denmark). I was quite scared of him when I was yonger but surprice, surprice he is actually very sweet and has loads of humour. After he actually believed that I made the shawl I gave my mum he humbly asked if i would knit him something? Yes, I would like to knit you something, uncle! You said something scarf-y and stripe-y. I think I can do that.... also in time for your birthday!
My grandmother (mums mum) and her sister came also. Two very different and both nice ladies. My granny is getting alzheimers so thats a bit tought but I actually enjoy telling her all the family news over and over. She get's so happy every time she hears them. Her sister is amazing she's been travelling in Africa as a nurse from the 50´s to the mid-80´s (i believe) has no housband or children but has seen and experienced so much and is just the bubbliest woman evah! She has friends all over the world, has been to moscow in the 60´s lived in paris, slept in a tent with an other little lady in a roadside in Tanzania and sooooo much more. I must have gotten my travelling fever from her. We have many talks on where to go and how there might be and hers and my travelling stories.

Please let me know if you're making your "New Year mental notes" also or just New Year resolutions if you don't have the same problems labelling them as i do.

GODT NYTÅR!

I finished my Tour

I'm just giving you the pictures for now as bf and I are going out for a gig - dinosaur jr. - right now.
More tomorrow! Just before going to bed I wanted to read the latest news on the tv and they said short and straight that Rabobank has excluted Michael Rasmussen from the Tour and the team as well.
He has been lying about his wereabouts in june. Michael has said that he had been in Mexico all of june (but not telling UCI until it was too late) but an Italian commentator has claimed that he has been training with Michael on the 13th and 14th. On this basis Rabobank excluted him.

Michael is known to be exctremely meticulous so this is all a bit mysterious but he still has been clear in ALL of his doping tests during his entire career. I guess the American principle about being innocent until proven otherwise is only American and not European....

I find the whole business very weird but I guess his career is over. I feel bad for the rest of the team especially Thomas Dekker who is young and upcomming and has done a very good job on the team and of course for Tom Boogerd I guess he didn't want his last tour turning out this way.
It's very late over here as the whole shebang started at 11 pm and now it's 1.15 am. I have a lot of opinions on the case but it's too late for me to write in english - and propably danish as well I won't test it ;) Maybe you will here them later or maybe I will show you the progress on my sweater instead, we'll see...

As my knitting concerns I havn't been lieing (or however you spell it :)) about anything! I am really about to sew the thing up which scares the c..p out of me ;) But I, myself, will do it somehow during the next few days!

I'm glad this all happened just after the mountain stages because they really are my biggest interest. I was a bit disappointed when Michael began going after the yellow jersey instead of the dotted on - it even came to the point where I talked myself out of cheering on someone else. I guess now I have to to continue watching. Even though I find Contador very interesting and look forward to follow him next year it couldn't be him because I have just been cheering against him and the mountain stages is over anyways. So,

GO CADEL - Yay for stearing clear of terrible accidents which have been hard on the Aussies. - I must admit that I propably wouldn't have heard about you otherwise. I absolutely wish you the best in the race and I think you have been doing wonderfully so far!
And of course I still wote for Thor Hushovd in the green jersey!

Going for supplies

For some time I've known that my row gauge is off, looser. Even though I expected to have to buy extra yarn I decided just to knit on and see how far my primary purchase would last. Hopefully that is quite an easy way of adding extra lenght to the sweater since I'm a bit tall (177 cm or 5,10 i think). Well the little expriment brought me to the raglan decreases on the second sleeve. But since I also need yarn for a small collar and the sewing up it's not too bad having to buy an extra ball... anyways, the yarn is very nice so I'm probably able to do something with it.

I took Finished Sleevey with me to the city and we went exploring on a french trip...both types ;)

First we couldn't agree on where to go but after meeting a nice friend things got a bit better

We got the agenda set; first go buy extra yarn, then look around different yarn shops. This took some time but was very nice and relaxed. We did notice a chik baby sweater Zimmermann surprice style but the back was different - I like Elisabeth's better!

We then got hungry and went to eat french savoury pancakes or galettes as they are called in Bretagne. Yummy, mine was with jambon et fromage and of course accompanied with an Orangina!

Finished Sleevey doesn't eat meet and dairy so she just enjoyed the nice weather and the mild breeze.
Afterwards it was time for some knitting since only Finished Sleevey had joined me and Unfinished Sleevey had stayed at home I had to introduce a new UFO - coachella
The meeting went very well and Unfinished Sleevey fell asleep on the back of my bike while I drank a cafe au lait and knitted on coachella and enjoying Copenhagen on a summers day.

End of story

p.s I will try to scan some pictures of the french castle I gave bf for his birthday s there is only good ones in the brochures he got.

Go Michael Go GO Go!

He did it! Tomorrow we won't see him in the polka dot jersey - because he will be in yellow....

As the danish commentators noted it was like a Kinder egg with 3 surprices in one, the stage, the polka dot jersey and the yellow jersey. Well done my Captain!

My sweater is also coming along and i've started on the last sleeve so soon I will be on to my first blocking and then seeming... heh, let's hope that goes well ;)

On another note we had a birthday at my appartment yesterday. My bf turned 31! Congratulations, Love! And guess what I gave him... In the spirit of celebrating France during Le Tour, how could I resist? I had to give him A FRENCH CASTLE WITH VINYARD! The website is only in danish though, but it's called Chateau de Haux and is situated in Bordeaux. He has only got a small share...

Whoohoo, what a day! The back and the front without button holes were done some months ago! Then I stalled....and stalled..... And then came Le Tour and now I'm back in the saddle, so to speak.

Being a climber I never thought that sprinting stages could be very exciting but how was I wrong! We've had everything from crashes over belgian triumph to McEwan's incredible win on that first stage. And then yesterday, during a thunderstorm here in Copenhagen, Thunder Thor sprinted from everybody with 66 km/h!!! I switched channel on the tv at that moment so I could se it on a norvegian channel and boy oh boy were the commentators over the moon with excitement. Congratulations Thor, well done!

Even though the media in Denmark think of CSC to be the Danish team because of Bjarne Riis (executive manager, I think or maybe he's actually the owner???). I don't know if you remembers but he won the tour once and have recently admitted that he won illegally. He's been permitted to deliver the yellow shirt back. He's staying away from the tour this year apparantly to spare the team for all the fuss that he would have produced. Well, he's never really been on of my favourites, when Bjarne rode Richard Virenque was my favourite.

I'm just giving you a closer look on the sweater pieces. During the race will the wonderful hostesses provide indispensable information about france, the race, the jerseys, the teams (both knitting and biking), the route AND the food!!!

I will be joining the polka dot team because I have a mountain to climb...my first sweater! It's a "Maggie tweed" kit from Kim Hargreaves I got from my parents for Christmas. (I have started on it, though, but if I finish this I will continue in the race to earn my mountain points with several smaller "mountains")

This is, however, not the only reason for this team:

1) The Polka dot shirt has always been my favorite even though green is my favorite colour. I has that Brigitte Bardot factor.
2) Michael Rasmussen - as a fellow Dane I must support OUR team! My special nickname for him is "the white muscle" as he is very pale and has a lot of white muscle fibers, I'm sure..
3) And last but not least: when I ride my bike I'm always slow and could therefore never be on the yellow or green team, but uphill then I'm FIRE! :)

Thank you, you lovely ladies and bonne chance tout les tricoteurs ;)

With a little help...

This is how you do it!
Originally uploaded by Leneland
Sometimes I'm getting some help from a rater unusual angle. I'm just about finishing a pair of boyfriend socks and I'm gorging my self in sock patterns, sock yarn and sock recipients. It all started in the easter holiday when my family went on a day trip to Helsingborg (in sweden) to buy some boat stuff to my dad. The "girls", me ,my mom and my sister, sat having coffee and snacks at the marina waiting for my dad to finish buying the stuff when I pulled out the beginning of the boyfriend socks. My sister was drooling over the yarn (trekking 108) and I tried to ask what kind of colours and construction she liked, but she could only say that she very much liked what I was knitting but that she didn't have money to buy the yarn... I never planned on her to actually buy the yarn but I think she would feel it was a nice trade, she buy me the yarn - i knit her some socks. Then she came visit yesterday and I showed her the almost finished pair and again she went head over heels praising the yarn and everything..... and... then she asked how you wear home knitted socks and I said "they are quite sturdy just pull them on" and she said something about not being able to wear them all day but only to use them when you are home.... I didn't quite get that but after a few minutes I figured out that she was thinking that HOME MADE SOCKS ARE TO PRECIOUS TO WEAR ALL DAY IN SWEATY SHOES!!!! Now I just have to knit her a pair and that as soon as possible!
I have also showed the nearly finished pair to my in law-family and my MIL thinks that i should knit socks for presents. She definately would like a pair too and the rest of the family as well I think. YAY, I love that ;) My in law-family have all very pointy toes and mine have squarish feet but I can use The Man and my feet as templates. Problem solved! Now I just need to buy sock yarn

O' come spring

This time of year I allways enjoy living in a part of the world where the seasons differ. Although that's not quite true because i'm quite ecstaticat at the beginning of every season (especially spring and fall). I can really tell that my primal force are kicking in; instead of knitting i feel like gardening. So much so that i'm reading garden books, drawing my imaginary garden, searching the web for seeds to plant in same garden, heading towards vegetarianism (the knight doesn't so i'm compromising ;)) and so on.

The spring just seems like the time for making changes. The knight and i are semi-serious looking for appartments in malmö, sweden. I spend the better part of yesterday afternoon looking for appartments that would be interesting for us. We are both very picky with these things and our tastes are not completely similar, but mostly very close and i just needed to overlook the primal force and garden luster for now. If we should have a place in sweden with a garden we wouldn't be living in central malmö and pendling to copenhagen wouldn't be realistic. So we are lookin for yummy places with 2 bedrooms, charm, space, light, appropiate for one income, preferably a balcony, max 2-3 km from the central station....

A list like that is absolutely beyond reason in Copenhagen but NOT in Malmö - i can't believe that all this is actually within reach. I just want to jump in and buy one of the ca 15 appartments that fullfill ALL OF THE ABOVE CRITERIA. But, but, but i'm telling myself to relax a bit. this does mean moving to a different country, so we have to be certain. and if one afternoon revealed 15 contenders we would probably also find some good ones when we are ready for it. Now we just know that it is worth while to keep investigating! Whohoo, I'm totally excited!

Another big thing for me is that I'm sereously considering enter a all female running competition (one of the not so competitive ones ). I've never been good at running and have allways tried to avoid it if possible. but somehow it appeals to me with all the fresh air, freedom, meditiative state. And this seems like a good motivator to actually begin at running. I feel a bit scared though - mostly about making a fool of myself with all the huffing and puffing while trying to get fit. But that's just me being silly - it must be more foolish to let vanity keep me away from being fit and beautiful.

I heart Colours

For a while now i've been stalking blogs, looking at pictures on flickr, planned my knitting projects, been carrying my camera around and so much more.
Itr could only go one way....

I've joined "project spectrum 2.o"

This may just be the last little push i need to get everything workning on my blog as well as on my flickr page.

For the first group of colours, which are blue, white and gray, i'm knitting a pair of zebra striped jaywalker socks. i've tried that pattern before with not much luck but this time I WILL DO IT! and they are going to be georgeus!

I will also be more aware of these colours on a daily basis and take a lot more photos where ever i go. I CAN KNIT TWO TONE STRANDED COlOUR WORK. next thing must be her venezian pullover... of course, nothing less.
well, i think less because i have kim hargreaves "maggie" waiting for me, oh la, in the colour of a dragon - she promise. i think i must order some rosewood needles for this project

Edited: rosewood needles are on their way. i only ordered the bigger size needed. i'll wait with ordering more until i know how i knit with them.

Uh, my.....

It seems like i'm thinking about blogging a whole lot more than i'm actually blogging. I won't even consider taking that blogging personality test that i've seen roaming different blogs because i've already know my personality: Bad blogger! I don't think it will change in the near future but i will keep on trying.

For the past week or two i've been knitting socks like there was a sockmonster eating all our socks and we would have to walk barefeet during the winter... it is actually very fun and i'm getting to know our feet and their matching socks a lot better.

Last knight rune and i went to ikea to check on a bedroom closet. our beedroom is very small, as the rest of the appartment, and we both are big horders with books, games and all sorts of bits and bobs lying everywhere. the plan is to get this wallsize closet with sliding doors. if we are lucky there will be just space enough to have the bed at right angles to the closet. if we are extra lucky there will be a cm between the bed and the closet door so that it won't scratch the bed. i'm so hoping this will work out because we could really use the cleanliness in the room that this oculd create. on the way home i realized that this is our first furniture purchase as a couple and my first proper story furniture purchasement at all. i felt so adult, happy and relationshippy. combine this with a future talk we had the day before and i'm almost ready for little ones. or a cat...

no pictures today cause i've misplaced our camera

True beauty

Look at these, they are just gorgeus!

<img style="FLOAT: left; This has taken me several months to actually investigate since I thought that some magical touch was needed. Hrm... oops... I expect, off course, that Blogger has been laughing at me for a long long time already and will continue to tell this story at future christmas parties.

According to the title of this post I have been doing some knitting lately. Although finishing is much more seldom than starting a progress I hope that I have a couple of Fos in a short time.

First my Winter slippers:
I bought the yarn on a small organic farm when they had an "open to public" day. It's 2-ply but I don't know the thickness. I'm using 4mm douple points and circular needles and knitting loosely. The pattern is inspired after these slippers, but not knowing the thickness of my yarn and the shrinking percent I made a stocking stitch test, felted it and came up with a knitting plan on the before and after felting measurements. The plan was to make the sock about a 5th larger than my foot but I can actually get both my feet in the first sock on the same time. Since they are slippers I think that it will be allright as they are going to be felted in the machine on 60 celsius and tumble dry as well (the same treatment as the test). If they then are too big I'll just give them the same treatment over (and over and over and...) again until I'm satisfied. Maybe they'll get a little embellishment somehow a some point but I will think of them as finished when felted to use-size.
This is my second pair of socks ever and I'm using Wendys figure eight cast-on and a garter stitch short row heel inspired by Kriss.

Then The dinosaur(ess):
This one has actually been finished knit-wise in a long long time but all the actual finishing kind of blew me off. But know she's on her way. She is made of a very old thin stash sock yarn laid double and knit on.... maybe 2mm?

The baby slippers for giants:
These I also made a long long time ago but haven't made it to a recipient yet because my knitting pride of them is lacking. Maybe soon. Knitted in some mohair thing with maybe 2mm dbps.

Fad-classic:
Well, back when Wendy published this pattern i fell head over heels in love with it. Knowing that I was a beginner I thought it over a little but came to the conclusion that with a little time and a lot of guts I could probably manage. Perhaps this item would be the one to make me advance into experienced or advanced beginner? Now, after a LOT of time and still needing way more, this item, with its continually challenging techniques, has already made me think of myself as an advanced beginner. My guts however has been used on first the top-down start, then the pattern, then the "at the same time" shaping, then on shaping to my body type (it is still a secret to me if a actually got it since my first top was in 1x1 ribbing with no shaping). The next thing in demand of a little guts is the picking up stitches for the neck and armhole bands. This might take a few months to accumulate.

Branching out:
I'm knitting this with the leftovers from "The baby slippers for giants". I don't have that much left of it though so I'm thinking it will make a rather handy "just around the neck" scarf for biking in the fall. This is my first time chart reading.

Finally The robot:
I'm making this one for a little cutie patutie: my bfs cousins almost new daughter. I think it will be in the mothers liking but the yarn is a little scratchy. It is my first stuffed item and my first intarsia-like thing - wich is absolutely not perfect by the way but will give caracter! Maybe it will soften after washing. I invented the pattern myself inspired by these robots. I think mine is probably a little over-stuffed though.

Non-knitting Wip:
Beside from the ever-lasting home improvement I have these cute boots cueueing for a little shining up. I bought them for 5 swedish kroner (ca o.5 GBP) at a fair in Malmö back in july. they are also intended for the above mentioned cutie patutie. She's moving to Norway later this year so she's definately going to need a stylish pair of booties. They are on the big side but she'll grow into them in a few years and until then they have extra room for socks. I think these will please the mothers sense of style as well!

As you all might know a long list of wips is not going to stop you from thinking of the next project! I have socks for bf and myself lining up (not matching even though that might be fun). He has requested socks in a bland colour so I think that I can amuse myself by choosing a fun pattern. With my sock beginner skills this might be a simpler pattern with only a little going on like 2x2 ribbing on top of the foot as well as around the ankle or so as I still have to pay LOADS of attention to making the switch from needle to needle (I'm knitting socks with 5 dbpts.) and is getting highs just finishing the toe and heel. I think I might try the short row toe and a boomerang heel (sorry, only in german) I've read about on a danish blog. For myself I think I will try some Jaywalkers with a self striping yarn from the supermarket and probably ending up procastinating on the way.

feeling a bit off

Today is a bit weird. My body feels puffy and brick-like even though I've really tried hard to only eating raw smoothies, having a salad for lunch (rich in baby spinach) and more water than yesterday - I spiked it with powdered maca. I'm also a bit more depressed today and can't seem to get myself up and go. It could be the combination of therapy yesterday ( my therapist is wonderful and get tears in her eyes when I talk about something emotional. But these lessons really gets under my skin and I get a bit worse while I'm thinking about - and trying to - changing my reaction patterns afterwards) and it just hit me that it could of course also just be pms since I'm due in a couple of days. I'm not regular to my knowing but it should be around the 21st. That could also explain why I had to eat the rest of the two raw chocolate bars I was saving for my period. I'm feeling a bit better just knowing what it is but I don't keep records of my pms and periods so I didn't actually realise that I have pms at ll. My bf might have suspected though - he's so organized!
I think I will try to get out a bit maybe bike to the beach and read in my knitting book. My knitted robot is coming alóng but so far it doesn't look like it will get more square than lumpy... little Ella won't mind though, so why should I?

New diet habits

The last couple of days I have tried to eat a little more raw and uncooked foods. At first this type of diet did seem a bit strange and I didn't believe that I could feel full and nourished by this type of eating - nonetheless getting my cosy, comforting gene nourished as well. But as for now I'm sitting and feeling pretty well full and comforted. I had a large salad with everything in it. Different types of salad, baby spinach, sprouts, carrot, cucumber, avocado, mango and a dressing of olive oil, lime juice, salt and pepper. Very very delicious! My breakfirst wasn't as succesfull: a smoothie of banana, soaked sesame seeds, moist dried apricots and water. I don't have a proper blender so the sesame seeds didn't get blended at all. The whole thing ended up more pudding like but a bit slimey. Bananas isn't my favorite fruit so it could just be that and it wasn't horrible.
I'm feeling like I'm taking care of myself and at the same time I'm thinking a bit better about myself like I'm strengthening my self esteem. And at the same time I'm getting a little more energy but maybe that's a synergy effect but i don't really care as long as I'm feeling better over all.
I'm not ready to converting since this is a huge change but I will deffently try to eat some more salads and fruit smoothies in the morning. I'm not ready to give up the lattes eather but that's all right. I'm still improving my diet for the better then we will see if I at some point in the future is ready to eat more raw. I'm also curious if I will feel different and how my body will react to this kind of eating.

Deja vû...

sitting by my computer, surfing with the window open. Just imagine the smell when you grind the beans waiting in anticipation and knowing that you still could screw it up. I might just confess that I´m a bit clumsy and more times than not I do somehow get the coffee wrong. Either I just don´t pay attention to the little bubbly sounds from the kitchen and thereby I get a very bitter(sweet) cup or I warm the milk to the point of boiling and the final coffee tastes like ricepudding. Not the best start of the day.
I must be used to it by now. I tend to overcook everything - even when toasting bread I need someone to look after me (or rather my food that is). Somehow I do still think that I´m making delicious food all these weird outcomes just happens when I´m making something snappish. Well, I must simply start making coffe in gallons - and I do even calculate in metric! I have a little help in that direction because my espressomaker (on of the small ones to use on the stove) broke not long ago spuring boiling coffee all over the kitchen. Fortunately I stood in the one corner by the zink that didn´t get any. Now I´m only able to make my coffee using the brewer. But it fills my coffeehunger perfectly anyways.

You could always look at the fabric

Yesterday was sisters night out. Luckily! We went to the movies too see "Memoires of a geisha" cause my sister had some coupons for it. It was just a really bad movie. They had tried to make it all epic and beautifull and stuff but the story was crap and it didn't work out at all. As a kid the heroess met some really hard times. The family was very poor and her mother was sick lying on her death bed - then her father sold her and her sister to two different geisha houses. The sister was in a lousier one were a geishas duties was a little more promiscuous than of a proper geisha. She faces a lot of problems and a lot of people are against her. Until she meets the one man for her. An adult giving her a cup of swet ice......(She is still a young child) And after that all she want for life is being with him. It takes her many many years to get him (the hero) and in between she bacame a legendary geisha earning many money and loosing them again because of WW2. Just at the end she rise as a perfect geisha and then THE HERO AND THE HEROESS FINALLY GET EACH OTHER.... this should not be a big surprise whilst seeing the movie cause everything is just a build up. It would probably be a bit better if she had commited suicide, right at the end just before she gets the man but after she has risen as a perfect geisha, for a moment I thought that that would happen. Omg lousy endings on lousy movies, well I guess they match though... The best thing about this movie was all the kimonos and the fabric it was wonderfull - relly really pretty things! I kind of want all the kimonos I'm able to stuff in my wardrobe. Sadly thats not many though and I don't know where to get them.
After that we went for a cup of coffee in a small café. It has been such a long time since I've been at to one of those. And it was nice spending time with sister as well.
One my way biking back home I met an italian guy looking for a place to sleep and to someone to talk to. Hmm he was kind of weird, boring and pushy but if someone has a spare bed just let him know.
<img width='1' height='1'
